BENCHMARKING

McLean eBASIS has provided comparative data for BASIS-24®, PoC-IP/RP, and PoC-OP for participating hospitals since 1998. Data from participating organizations is merged to create "benchmarks" for each quality measure, against which individual organizations can compare their results. McLean eBASIS also stratifies the benchmark results based on patient and facility characteristics. Information about the participating hospitals, including nine facility characteristics, is grouped and provided for comparison in profile format only, ensuring no hospital is identified. Means, medians, and standard deviations are given for each domain.

Expected outcomes may vary across levels of care and symptom acuity. Therefore, when appropriate, McLean eBASIS also analyzes data and provide performance comparison by level of care.
